Environmental Policy

Approach and policy toward environmental problems

The earth we live on is now confronted with many environmental problems, such as global climate change, natural disasters, and destruction of environment caused by waste. We need to recognize that many of these environmental problems are caused by factors such as mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal by humans.

The Japanese government has declared that it aims to achieve a carbon-neutral, decarbonized society by 2050, and in line with this declaration, has announced a new target of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 46% by 2030 compared to FY2013 levels, supplemented with the aim of achieving an even higher 50% reduction. This is a significant increase from a reduction target of 26% compared to FY2013 levels that the Japanese government submitted to the United Nations after the Paris Agreement.

Our Group regards preservation of the global environment as an important management issue, and has established the following “Environmental Policy” to contribute to the achievement of the targets set by the Japanese government, and conducts operations based on this policy. By ensuring that all Group employees comply with this policy, we aim to proactively address environmental issues.

In addition, we have acquired the integrated ISO 14001 certification, which is applicable to our two manufacturing sites, research laboratory, and overseas sales offices. We will continue to implement various measures through the ISO 14001 framework from raw material procurement to manufacturing and sales.
